Five years ago my husband and I decided to put ourselves on the waiting list to adopt in the Dominican Republic. At that time we lived there, but as the years passed we decided to move to the United States. Just 2 days after relocating we were called to assign our son. It was a very happy moment but at the same time of great anxiety and concern because we did not know the international adoption process. We had to give an answer and start the international adoption process immediately so that we could go soon as a family to our new home in the USA. In the midst of all the confusion and chaos we met Madelaine, a professional with a big heart, ethics and highly qualified to handle a case like ours.
